Sundays

what to expect

Every week, there are people just like you who are checking out Grace Ann Arbor Church for the first time. So we'd like to answer a few questions you might have as you decide to be our guest on Sunday.

What should I wear?

Something. Anything. Most people wear something casual while some like to "dress up," so feel free to dress in clothes that are comfortable for you. God is more interested in your heart than your appearance.

What is it like & how long is it?

We gather together for about an hour (60-70 minutes) as we experience God's grace and extend His love in ways that Christians have for thousands of years. While each week is unique in its theme, emphasis and mood, we try to maintain balance by:

- singing both contemporary songs and modernized hymns

- reciting prayers & creeds, both ancient and modern

- teaching God's truth with an appreciation for its historical context and

sensitivity to its current application

- responding in quiet reflection and joyful celebration

Do I have to talk to anyone? Will I be singled out in any way?

Absolutely not! But we seek to be a people who share life together, so we hope you meet people who will become a part of your life as you become a part of theirs, regardless of where you stand with God. So we provide time and space for relationships to develop before, during, and after our weekly gathering:

  • Before service: Meet people over a cup of good coffee, or tea. Feel free to bring your own travel mug.
  • After service: enjoy an assortment of fruit, desserts, snacks, and drinks together with other people.
  • What about my kids?

GraceKids, our children's ministry is available for children ages 0-12. When you arrive, stop by the GraceKids Check-In Table, and someone will help you check your kids into their classrooms. Your kids are welcome to stay with you in the worship gathering, but most kids really enjoy the GraceKids program.

We make it a priority to see that your kids will be safe and well cared for by highly trained volunteers. After our worship gathering, you can pick up your children at their classrooms, and then we hope you will stay around, meet some people that will become a part of your life as you become a part of theirs!
